This is the Ludum Dare entry from FrosthPhoenix and me. In this sidescroll survivel game, your most used skill (green) upgrades and your least used skill (red) downgrades. Stay alive for 100 seconds and get all achievements!

This is a really great start! I love the idea of upgrading and downgrading skills depending on how much you use them. I'd make it more obvious what was happening and why though- I ended up being unable to move at all even though I was basically spamming left and spacebar. The achievements system was a really nice touch too.

Great concept and start! Needs polishing, but then whose doesn't it this timeframe!! Enjoyed playing your game and really think you should develop this further. Well done!

That was... interesting. The sound effects could probably be removed, they were kind of loud and frustrating. My strategy was just to hold left and fire, and it pretty much worked without modification. The upgrade system seemed cool, but I didn't get much use out of it because of the strategy I used :P Eventually I holed myself on the left corner and nothing could get through my insane rain of bullets.

Also, the bullets seemed to lag the game - when I held down the key, time went like 5x slower hehe. Might want to look into that.

There didn't seem to be any point to using any control other than running left. I never jumped, gave up on going right quickly, and my shotgun never seemed to reach the enemies so it was useless. Overall the game needs a lot of re-balancing in order to be playable.
