Wolf vs Jackalopes by wizbane

Survive as long as you can by eating rabbits before your food runs out. Rabbits that are near each other will mate and produce offspring. As time goes on, rabbits will evolve into jackalopes. Try to keep them away from the other rabbits or else they'll spawn demonic jackalopes!

I ate them all and died after 40 days. I think this simple mechanics depicts evolution and extinction pretty well :)

i take it the wolf doesnt like black rabbits? around 70 days as there were getting to be more of them i starved because nothing i caught gave me any food :/

Controls are a little stiff and the "sneak" doesnt always work but more or less good.

Quite clever, I like how the rabbits run away only when you are close.. :D

I liked the stalking mechanism. Presentation is also very good. I think the game might work even better if there was some more area to roam in and try to find food.

Good job.

Really good theme representation! I survived for 108 days. It's beautiful the fact that you will eventually be surpased one day by another being, no matter how strong you are at the beginning. Good work!

Was fun to sneak-and-run but it seemed like I died pretty fast. Survived 43 days ... probably shouldn't have eaten them all right away. =D

with a little more polish, it could be a very addictive game

I must say that the mechanic is really smart. After reading the description I immediately thought this would be "Vox Populi" http://www.kongregate.com/games/weremsoft/vox-populi-vox-dei-a-werewolf-thriller

but it was it's own thing and really cool. Yes it needs some work but honestly if it was more leveling based. For example, I cleared all the jackalopes but spent the rest of the time with no action. Not a slight on the game just a lul that can easily be changed.

Overall I really think there is potential and I will score this well because it is clever and original.

Good job.

Nice game, though doesn't really have anything to do with the theme. It was pretty fun but I died because those bombs are goddamned hard to dodge. Have to start the whole game from beginning? Errr, no thanks.

AdventureIslands, I think you've commented on the wrong game here. There aren't any bombs in my game!

Those baby bunnies were pretty cute, and delicious. Was kinda annoying that they could just run out of the screen and breed though. Nice mechanic with the breeding.

Nice idea, I really liked the spites but think a few things could have helped a lot; such as a wolf animation and maybe a border of hedges round the play area. Trying to eat enough to live but not decimate the bunny population was definitely a good use of the evolution theme.

I love the herding mechanism - really fun. I couldn't really figure out of there was a point other than breeding the black bunnies, but I did get a couple of them out. Cool controls, fun soundtrack. Nice work!
