Dr. Ludum's Evolving Androids by TechnoBulldog
The idea is very straight forward: kill the opposing android before he kills you. As you start out, you won't be able to do much. As you play, though, your suit will evolve and give you more abilities.
Controls:
A - Left
D - Right
Space - Jump
J - Sword / Shield (Use this to block incoming bullets!)
Mutations (gained after a certain period of time):
Shift - Speed
K - Gun
Double Jump
I realize this game isn't that great, but I'm very proud of what I accomplished.
This is more than I've ever done before. Please rate this however you'd like,
good or bad will not bother me at all.
I'm hoping the fact that the suit "evolves" is enough to count towards the theme.
If not, oh well =P
Tools: C++ w/ SFML, Paint.NET, sfxr

Also, too hard for me.
The game mechanic was simple but surprisingly challenging. And I actually really liked the half-second shield idea. Also if you just stand still, you become invincible, which is a pretty neat bug :P
