Planetary Overseer by Milo
Have you ever wanted to help guide evolution? Specifically, have you ever wanted to use some methods (they're probably highly illegal; don't inquire too much) to mutate animals to try to build a stable ecosystem? Well, then this is the game for you! Your goal is to, by mutating individuals, make it so 3 species can coexist.
The player is given actions to do like blocks in a tetris, and you just use them at that order by simply clicking around

I really liked this. The behaviors of the fish and the influence over the environment made for a genuinely dynamic gameplay.
Shame there's no fun sound effects.
Good job!
Good and fun 48 hour implementation of an interesting idea. Played a few tries and had 36 mutations when I messed up the last one.
Would love to see this idea expanded :)

Also, sorry about the losing on load thing. I didn't realize it was possible (I mean, I guess the spikey must eat a fish, reproduce, then be eaten by a fish bigger than it, which might happen with some probability...)
