Bomb the Bunnies by Sestren
Info
"Bomb the Bunnies" is a game about trying to fight back the ever-growing bunny menace. Given that they are asexually-reproducing, that means you have to act quick to place your time bombs to thin their numbers before they grow out of control. Also, with every new generation of bunnies, mutations are possible, so over time the population can get faster, gain better eyesight (for avoiding your bombs), or tougher.
Controls
Bombs place themselves automatically several times a second, so keep your mouse cursor moving to where you want an explosion to occur. The bomb will go off in 2.5 seconds, damaging or killing bunnies in its blast radius.
Confession
This game represents the result of many concessions that ultimately had to be made as a result of a very, very busy weekend that left with me with only about half a day of actual programming time. As such, I must apologize if the game is poorly balanced or rather shallow. I did the best I could with the time I had, and the result only barely represents the original concept I had in mind when I began. I also participated in the warm-up the week prior, so if you're interested, you can also check out the game I made for that at < http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-24-warmup/?action=preview&uid=10343 >.
Timelapse
The screen capture stopped working about halfway into Saturday, so the video doesn't show the last several hours of work, sadly.
Post-Compo Version
This version has a much better difficulty curve and the ability to analyze the bunny population's genome with the "Gene Selector." Bomb upgrades have also been added in, and you get a random one every 250 kills.
The Genes and What They Do
Each gene is rated from 0 to 15, 0 being the lowest level of expression, and 15 being the highest level of expression.
RED, GRN, BLU : The genes for red, green, or blue fur
POW, TUF : POW increases stun resistance and makes the bunnies appear taller, while TUF increases health and makes the bunnies appear wider.
SPD, EYE : The genes for speed (evidenced by how quickly they wobble) and eyesight
MUT : The higher this gene is rated, the more likely a clone is to have one or more mutations
How to Use the Gene Selector
Previous/Next Gene: Up/Down Arrow (or W/S)
Alter Selection Range : Left/Right Arrow (or A/D)
Fine-Tune : Hold Shift Key while altering selection range
Reset Ranges : Space Bar
Toggle Selection Mode : Tab

It was quite original to me, good job!
Felt simple enough just needed explosions
I do have Flash 11.0, but it can't find any available updates.
But we all need to start somewhere! =P
I'm not sure if it's possible to win, but it's an interesting mechanic!
Good use of the theme! It just needed some way to start over after losing (or I didn't know how); I had to refresh the page to play again after losing.
