Well, here is my first game created for a Ludum Dare. Is a very basic running game (like Jetpack Joyride) made in SDL. I gave the source code in the .zip file.

A couple things I have to improve to the next LD:

- Timing: it's weekend, but I think that wake up early two "not-working" days is vital. Wake up at 11:00 it's not a very good plan to start.

- Theme: I didn't know about the theme, and I had a very specific idea in my mind about the game. I think this part would be improved in the next LD.

- Audio: no audio, between now and December (next LD) I think I'll learn how to add audio in SDL.

Nothing else, I'm very happy to contribute to this event.

Thanks! It's one of the features I couldn't do in 48 hours. Otherwise, it was one of my firsts games in SDL (the first one was a mouse Tic-Tac-Toe) and I'm happy to had a good-working collision function (pixel perfect). The next time I'll take care the "scores" consideration before deliver the game. Thanks for playing it!

There is a sweet spot which will let you survive indefinitely. Before discovering that, I could never survive longer that 5 seconds ;) It's really fast (maybe too fast) and it feels as if there is not always enough room to dodge the objects. I liked the simple graphics somehow :)

The game was definitely quite difficult until my laptop started overheating (not your fault, my laptop's fan isn't working properly or something) and I set it to Power Saver. Even though I was at almost 25,000 points it slowed the game waaaaaay down, making it much easier ;)
