Time to Grow up! by wezrule

[raw]
made by wezrule for LD24 (JAM)
W A S D to move, space to jump :). Explore the vast lands, discover the unknown!

The idea would have been you take care of a creature, and it evolves into a new one depending on what you feed it. But we ran out of time, and by the end we just mashed everything we could, to at least get something playable ^^ Enjoy

+ Good open-world exploration scene.
+ Music was good, set the exploration/adventure mood.
+ I liked the animal models/animations.

- The light source was too intense, and over-saturated some of the terrain.
- There didn't seem to be a game or objective.
- Didn't seem to demonstrate the theme.

Congrats on finishing!

Impressive amount of asset work for 48 hours! I wish there was more gameplay or interactivity to it though. Even some really simple implied narrative could do it. I also don't see the connection to the evolution theme, but it seems like a good foundation for building something.

Agreed, from the outset the graphics are beautiful and the music nice. But I could not work out what to do? Picking up fruit and throwing at people. It might work in real life but in the game it does nothing? :(

Gave me a sense of visiting a town in a cRPG once all the quests were over, I mean overwhelmingly. Very cool

Nice solid exploration-thingie!

Like the graphics and the music. The camera-into was a bit irritating, though.

Wow, this is quite an effort for such a little time. Nice job with all the aspects of the game except creating goal and death. Don't throw it out, finish it! :)
