Use the WASD or Arrow keys to move.
Bump in to enemies to attack them.
Evolve based on the color of enemies you kill.

Become large enough to survive (1000 points, deaths afterwards will still count as a win).

Bug fix update:
The collision bugs that causes the player to zip through the water should be fixed (new bug introduced with this but should be rarer).
Player no longer loses when the game ends at exactly 1000 points.

Pretty fun for as simple as it is. Even running into things for gameplay was amusing as you still had to run away from things bigger and stronger than you.

I have to agree with trueyomic, pretty fun. I enjoyed the simplicity and the theme actually worked pretty well here.

Graphics were simple, but consistent. Good job overall!

I low how the game lends itself to preying on the weak, and letting others duke it out, moving in right when they're all at low health and picking them of. A lot of fun!

Found a bug, killed an enemy right on the shore and was ejected outside the map, right at the edge of the water. Couldn't get back from there.

Bouncing around and trying to eat up as many enemies was cool but about a minute into my first game I got a strange bug where after colliding with an enemy I got sent outside the playing field! I think I might've gotten stuck in a corner between land and water but I got pushed down and outside the level into the black void xD

Nice idea, fun game. Hit a few bugs: The first play through, I had exactly 1000 points when the time ran out, but it counted as a loss. The second time, I was thrown through the water off the map. The game also froze quite a bit momentarily. The graphical style suits the game, the simple audio worked well enough, and the game fit the theme. Well done.

That sounded and felt a lot like being popped popcorn.

I think a minimap would have been useful for finding where the little fellers are. The difficulty of not finding enough things to eat was usually much greater than the possibility of being eaten yourself. Maybe balance those a little bit more?

Slight problem is that it seems to get easier as the game goes on, which isn't the way difficulty curves are supposed to work :).
