Mutation Flight by PaulSB
CONTROLS
========
Movement: WASD/ZQSD/Arrows
Shoot: Space (when available)
Burst: Enter (when available)
Look out for the prompts on the walls at the top and bottom of the screen. And selecting an heir means clicking on one of the eeny-weeny triangles that are birthed in that moment.
Mutation Flight is an arcade-style shooter casting the player as an evolving abstract organism able to self-replicate. Through gene mutations guide the ill-fated dynasty through an ever-more dangerous landscape of peril!
Created in Flash using AS3 with Flixel, art in Gimp, sound with bfxr, music with FL Studio.

It took a bit too long to find the first enemy. And when it, it killed me immediately :D
The controls were a bit strange-feeling. I think it was mostly to do with how the ship sprite didn't rotate smoothly.
I'm guessing they were randomly chosen, but I very rarely got upgrades to my Burst ability. It would've been useful once the game started spawning 4 or more enemies in one room.
Overall, though, it was good fun.
I don't know why, but I really like the graphics here
One problem I fear is the player not noticing it is actually multiple rooms. For some time I though I was looping inside a single room, and not moving through a maze.
It would also be useful to say somewhere what the evolution options were.
I ended up trying to decrease the speed because it made it really awkward to control at high speeds. It was also irritating when moving to a new room and dying instantly.
It was fun playing. Although the controls were a bit quirky, I still got pretty used to it.
Awesome music, could have listened to it for hours. Also I liked the background graphics.
Good mood too, it was cool and all. Good work.
Overall pretty good, congratulations. =D
