Dinosaurs must Die! by tompudding

[raw]
made by tompudding for LD24 (COMPO)
Control the evolution of life on earth though firepower, kill all Dinosaurs!

I've included a packaged file for Windows and Linux 64 bit, so you should just need to extract the archive and run the executable.

If you have trouble with the packaged file (or you're on Mac OS), you can run the python source directly if you install python-opengl, python-pygame, python-numpy and pybox2d.

Nice humor touches, I love how you can grab dinosaurs, throw them up in the air and shoot them to death. It's brilliant!

I like the way you introduce the game mechanics. The controls feel weird though. Overall a good game.

I scored 4000-something. Sorry. Can't remember exactly.
Liked the game a lot though. While it was a bit hard, it was also fun to play. Nice work with the sound ;o)

I found the controls a little difficult (though I'll admit I was never really good at asteroids or lunar lander). The dinosaur sounds made me laugh quite a bit (reminds me of "Dinosaurs that Shoot Lasers when They Roar")

The flying of the ship makes fun. It's a bit to hard to avoid the enemies attacks because of the small screen / the speed of the enemies bullets. The sounds if a dinosaur made me laugh :D You should add more features like more different enemies or powerups.

Like folks said, the controls are a bit off. Great SFXs, Jurassic Park dinos sound like wimps compared to this!

Haha. That was great. I absolutely loved the Mar Might storyline, was laughing for ages. Unfortunately I forgot to put my earphones in, so I can't rate on audio.. (I don't even know if there was any?). Sorry about that!
A very good game, with the two parts being completely different. The dinosaur part was pretty hard (I lost D:).
Very fun, would recommend it!

I loved every second of it. Saying that, the controls are a little off. And often I was being killed by dinosaurs I couldn't see!

I can't find the pybox2d dependency!

When I run the game under wine, the mouse is stuck :(

Has the potential to be a really fun game, except I found the controls overly difficult. With a better controls this game would be much more fun.

While the controls are quite tricky, the game had a nice amount of wit and humour. Great job1 :P

Not a bad game. Reminds me of a game by fun infused games for xblig. Controls were a bit difficult though was flipping around like a mad man most of the time.

Rather nice, no real problems except for the text disappearing to fast. Fun to play, well done.

Something just way too fun about throwing dinosaurs in the air like that

I enjoyed the beam sound effect. It sounds like a sedated Beaker from the Muppets.

Feels like without full featured rigid body physics engine this game would be much better.

Interesting physics and funny story. Just lacks some nice music. The sound effects are good.
