Title Goes Here... by eShredder
So, done, finished, I don't want to see this game for the next couple of days xD
The part "evolution" might not be showing that much in this game, but it is there, I promise. There is probably only one point in the game where you can tell.
If anyone find any bugs/glitches/errors/anything else, please leave a kind comment in the comment field ^^
Sorry if anything feels unfinished, unpolished. I had to rush it in the end because I got fed up with not getting the sounds to work.

The controls are smooth, the guns are good etc, but really its all about finding a safe place to stand, farming money off zombies, then buying a better gun to more easily farm money off them. It's a bit lacking for me in motivation to continue playing... but I did anyway, for the sake of testing it.
Graphically it's nice, great background and characters, nice graphical style but again I'll be honest, nothing astounding in terms of graphics.
Audio... N/A because for it it didn't have any sounds, after reading your description but I'm not sure if that's intended.
Anyway... money to evolve, when you think about it, sounds a little funny, an upgrades-style game always fits the theme of evolution.
Overall, smooth gameplay, quite nice graphics but not very enticing to progress on for me, I'm sorry to say, since my first impression thought it'd be otherwise... oh well.
@Cell: The evolution part goes in the genetic upgrades. All of my ludum dare entries so far shows the theme in the absolute final moment of the game. :3
@bvanschooten: This was my absolute first try to create a platformer AI and the unpredictable moving of the zombies is kind of a glitch I couldn't get around.
Although I think the key to a successful shooter/fighting game, is feedback. Shooting the zombies didn't give any feedback except for some particles. Having the zombies get pushed back and/or flash would make a huge difference.
And some coding tip: grep mouse cursor at the center of your screen. Because sometimes I clicked on window behind.
@dector: I usually had the cursor "locked" to the center of the screen before. But I found it to not to more comfortable after a while, so this is how I do it now.
Good job nonethess! I think a post compo version of this with better AI could be really fun :)
@olav_st: I only have the most needed animation for each character: idle, walking and dead. The walking animation might be a bit hard to notice since it is simply the legs going up and down, and I did not want to spend too much time on the graphical part. And yes, the AI is really dumb. This is, as stated before, my first try on making a platformer AI.
@jarnik: Again, as stated above. I did not have much time to ballance stuff properly, and the evolution part is revealed at the end of the game.
