Advolvolution by Charlie Hadden
Advolvolution has two game modes. The first is survive. In this game mode, you attempt to survive for as long as possible while being attacked by hordes of enemies.
The other game mode is inventively names "1000 Kittens", and spawns you in a world filled with, yup, you guessed it: 1000 kittens. But not just any kittens, randomly coloured kittens! Your goal here is to collect all 1000 kittens as quickly as possible. No pressure.
Evolution comes to both game modes in the same way. As you are busy slaying gooey looking bouncy things, or rounding up your furry friends, the world evolves around you. This could work to your advantage, blocking your attackers from getting to you, or it could corner you leaving you with no option but to fight back.
WASD to move, space to attack. Enter selects the menu item and escape pauses the game.
I will also be adding a timelapse video to the links once I have put it all together.

thewiseguy99: Yeah, I understand what you mean, and I should have thought about that while making it, it only would have been 4 more lines. Sorry about that.
One thing - your physics is a bit buggy, and you can sometimes clip through walls. Not game breaking by any means, but shouldn't be too hard to fix.
mdkess: The animation was something I had planned to include, but I ran out of time unfortunately. The same thing for the buggy physics. During early testing it seemed to work fine, but by the time I noticed the issue there was already a lot of things based around it that would have needed to be ever so slightly tweaked in order to fix it which, again, I didn't have time for. I'll consider fixing it up and posting a post-compo version sometime soon though.
Timster: Thank you for playing :D
