Uberlution by Robotic
In Uberlution, play as a little guy who gets bullied by the others ! Sneak behind your biggest foes and get some xp by fighting the little ones, yeah, that's right, like a coward !
Evolve by eating them, be bigger, be stronger, see better !
And reach the mighty level 10 awesomeness !
First level might be hard, but find someone edible and you won't regret it. Mash keys to escape other's attacks, and hold space to eat people.
Lots of things were cut during the making of the game. I spent like 3 or 4 hours doing a perk tree that I took back because I lacked time. This is my biggest disappointment, and I simplified the game A LOT.
This is basically the game where you eat smaller fishes to get bigger, except it's supposed to be a stealth game, where you upgrade your speed, strength, discretion, field of view, radar... I'll probably make the game as I envisioned it soon.
Anyway, enjoy ! Don't forget to extract if you have problems launching the game

I died really early on the first time, which was kind of annoying. But I played some more, made it to level 10 and genuinely laughed out loud! :)
My first impression: I really like the feel of the game! The art looks sweet and stylistic, the music creates a solemn and somber atmosphere, and everything looks polished!
I do like the game's concept, and I do love stealth games, but I think the small circle around the player may be hindering the fun more than it helps. A lot of times I'm just walking aimlessly until I see a big guy, but by then, it's too late to try to outrun him, so there's not much I can do.
Having it so that I can see the enemies before they see me would make a great difference.
I can totally see this being a super fun experience, but currently it's a bit too frustrating for me. That's just my 2 cents! (If you tweak anything or make the game easier, I'd love to give it another try!) I'm going to rate it on how fun I think it can be with these minor changes.
1) There is a point in the top right where to can squeeze through and exit the map.
2) In the lower right area there is a group of rocks where the enemies can get stuck. I was fairly low level and the only thing I could eat was stuck with two larger monsters, making it impossible for me to grow to the next level. I had to kill myself and start over.
Take a look at how Osmos did it. Smaller cells turn blue, bigger cells turn red, so you can instantly know who to attack and who to avoid.
Took me so long to find anything smaller than me to eat at the start that I thought the game was bugged! Eventually found something though.
"I think adding some visual indicator of who is smaller than me and who is bigger is crucial"
If you evolve your senses past the first level you can basically do that! :)
Anyway, thanks for making the game, it's my favorite of the entries I've played so far!
So, I really think the radar would be more usefull when you are little...
But the game got fun when I got bigger. =]
I'm had trouble finding something small enough to eat, though... Once I did, the game got a lot more fun! This is what Spore should have been. :/
Also, great tribute to Monty Python!
Missing some animation when eating the others, but hey, it was a made game in 48h!
I found the game slightly unbalanced or plainly hard to play (larger enemies where faster than me and I couldn't understant the mechanic to break out)
Visuals were phenomenal. And the controls felt solid, despite the button mashing being a bit overwhelming on my poor keyboard xD
It gets much easier as it progresses, which is very much the wrong way round for a difficulty curve. The theme does make it rather difficult to avoid that, unfortunately.
The 'om nom' sound effect spoils the mood created by the beautiful graphics and music. I think you should have left the humour until the end, which I did enjoy :).
