Tetropolis by Josh Riley

Mac and possibly Web builds coming after I get some sleep!

Building a city was never so simple (or unusual)! Shift and place sidewalk pieces to create the best possible situation for your city to grow!

Some quick tips:

Industrial zones are taller than they are wide.
Commercial zones are wider than they are tall.
Residential zones only appear when width and height are equal.

Pleasant enough, music drove me mad after a while though. Hard enough without feeling unfair :) The pedestrians around were fun. I remember confirming this name over teriminopolis on irc ;)

I love it, very smart and engaging, I like how you can figure out the rule by yourself (I almost didn't read the tutorial), it's a pleasure to build a little and the scoring system works well. You could easily make a challenge mode with time, or a free build mode, good job !

Fun idea - seems like a good start to a game. I wish I could adjust tax laws though and see if I can get new building permits so everything isn't quite so cookie cutter. I like that it's very easy to restart as well.

I surround the main house sidewalks on all sides, but nothing happens. Please tell me what to do instead of sidewalks began to appear home.

Interesting really different concept. My natural tetris instincts of wanting to fit things as tight as possible are working against me agghh.

This was awesome! I played it for too long is really addictive. I didn't understand in the beginning what I was supposed to do, my tetris skill worked against me, but then. This was great! Well done!

Very fun concept. I would love to play more if you end up developing this game further :)

Super neat concept! I included it in my video compilation series of Ludum Dare games, if you’d like to check them out :) https://youtu.be/1ovNEwCi_RI

Well done. I enjoyed this. I'm not entirely sure, but sometimes, zones didn't entirely form. I guess some kind of overlay might have helped to make it easier to see what kinda zone I'm forming?
