Raoul V. in You Are Ze Villain! by Grungi Ankhfire
Welcome to Paris, 1914.
Step in the shoes of a disoriented man with a mission: to kill a certain person. But in order to do that, he will have to collect information from the pages of his notebook scattered around the block. Be ready to take some notes of your own, or try to keep all the information in your head!
Then, if you kill him, try to reach the border of the map and exit the city!
NEWS:
- Windows versions are both good to go! Sorry for the problems.
- I wrote a big-ass post-mortem : http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/2012/12/17/raoul-v-sends-his-regards/
TECHNICAL:
A rare bug can put you in a problematic situation at the start. Just relaunch the game and it should be fine. Happened maybe 3 times out of the ~100 times I ran the game.
The controls are explained inside the game (and in the README.txt), but a bonus : You can skip dialogues by pressing "enter".
Have fun!
(Oh, and I do have goats in there somewhere... In a way...)

I'm so sorry guys! :\ I will get this sorted.
It's saying me
./raoul: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.14' not found (required by /tmp/_MEIS3O5Lt/libz.so.1)
Anyway, I dissapeared from the screen when I reached 1 ammo left :|
So, to add things, I wished that I could review my notes and the game informed me somehow that I shooted the wrong guy.
Yeah, I couldn't finish it, I guess...
@jmassing: Ah too bad, I tested the Linux one to work with a clean Ubuntu 12.04 install, I need to do the same with the Linux 64 one. Was it the one you tried?
@delpes & Blodyavenger : I'm working on it, should have a Win64 version up. Sorry :( (and delpes, as I said, I tested the game to work on a 32 bits clean install of Ubuntu 12.04)
@epinion : Thank you for the feedback! Those are two of the features I had to cut due to time, but I completely agree. Though apparently I forgot an "if", and you are still able to kill people without ammo XD
@ceronman : Thanks for the nice words. I didn't know I screwed up the ammo check though, I guess it's a "cheat mode", I could call it ? :)
I really liked the game. I killed someone, got the "aaargh" screen, so I thought I had killed the right person but apparently not since the police came, then I got lost not knowing what to do. Also really cool music.
@dj_pale : Strange, never encountered that bug. Thank you for playing and for your kind words though!
@cwilloughby : Thanks, you're right that the movement doesn't feel very "juicy" yet.
@Dark Acre Jack : Nooooooooo :( Well, I will try your suggestion and record a playthrough (or two or three, to show the various endings) and link it on the top of the page.
The controls are pretty awkward (arrows + space + mouse needs three hands!) so fortunately you can take your time. Music and style was great. On windows, the 32 bit version should suffice for everyone, including 64-bit users. Right?
@Tom 7: Thank you too for your very kind words. The issue with the 32 bits versions was with the audio decoding lib apparently causing issues with the security mechanism of Win 7 64 bits...
