I got 41 and it was fun. I don't think the blocks should drop to fill the holes. One of the core concept behind Tetris is that you should avoid making those holes. Also, it feels unnatural that you can make shapes that are not connected. When I am dragging, I expect to highlight all the sqares I move across, and if they are already highlighted, they should stay so."},{"author_name":"Seth_senpai","author_uid":"91446","time":"Apr 20, 2016 @ 4:08pm","epoch":1461168180,"text":"Nice spin on the old tetris formula, graphics were basic but usable and the selection and shape-shifting worked well. Good Effort!"},{"author_name":"squidblinkgames","author_uid":"62820","time":"Apr 22, 2016 @ 3:19am","epoch":1461294840,"text":"Interesting idea, though I ended up just making a lot of sticks after a while (it seemed to be the simplest way to play).\r<br\/>\r<br\/>Is the left\/right location complete random? I ended up losing by having the entire left half filled. Although Tetris seems random, it's carefully designed to pick an equal number of each piece over time - the same could be done in this game with the starting position."},{"author_name":"PixelRetro","author_uid":"50581","time":"Apr 22, 2016 @ 9:51pm","epoch":1461361560,"text":"The linux build isn't working, because the data folder is missing."},{"author_name":"Sixteen","author_uid":"26495","time":"Apr 24, 2016 @ 4:59pm","epoch":1461516840,"text":"I agree with BoltKey that the squares shouldn't drop to fill gaps. The shape you make should be the shape you're stuck with. Otherwise you can keep doing horizontal bars and do vertical bars when you need to. However its a great idea that with a bit of polish will be really fun."},{"author_name":"thedashdude","author_uid":"41894","time":"Apr 24, 2016 @ 7:29pm","epoch":1461525840,"text":"I agree with those above that the holes should not be filled in, but I loved the idea and the game was fun regardless."},{"author_name":"phoenix1987","author_uid":"58828","time":"Apr 29, 2016 @ 11:10pm","epoch":1461971100,"text":"Interesting take on tetris, a little difficult to control though. After Starting the game, the falling shape can be seen in the \"Shaper\". Clicking or dragging in the shaper highlights squares, when you have 4 squares highlighted you can press the right mouse button to shapeshift. \r\n\r\nYou can press the middle mouse button or space to drop the falling shape. You get one point for a line clear and 8 points for tetris (clearing 4 lines at the same time). Level (and speed) increases every time a shape lands.\r\n\r\nThis is my first time participating in Ludum Dare, and my first time making music for a game (yes, it's just modified Tetris theme)\r\n\r\n(Mac and Linux ports are just straight builds from Unity, I don't have a way to verify that they work and can provide no support on getting them to work, sorry)\r\n\r\nGood Luck and Have Fun!\r\n\r\n(UPDATE: Made a stupid mistake with the Linux build. New download contains the data folder as well. Thank you to PixelRetro for pointing this out.)","title":"ShifTris"}
