The Adventures of Tim Nottacrook by Inty
Very Unfinished. Programmed by me, Eric Rawlings, art designed by Olly Carhart (look up nominalmuffin), civilian sprites and support by Joshua Beresford-Davis.
WASD to move
left click to shoot
right click to pickup weapon
space to melee
cops drop weapons
civilians drop health
Fund raising has not gone well over the past days you've spent going round with a collection bucket (the skint gits won't donate) so you take to the streets to gather funds however possible. You must raise 50000 for charity to save a foreign country that has a spreading disease.
The idea here is that at the start the player was meant to go around with a bucket collecting donations when eventually the player would give up and just steal money off people, rob banks and kill hundreds of people for the fund raiser. And end up destroying the city for the money.
It kinda just became a basic shooty game, may continue work on this to try to get it the way it was intended to be.
Things we had no time to do:
-civilian variety
-better path-finding
-progressively more difficult waves (including the army showing up)
-art for some weapons and for more civilian variety (my art guy was busy)
-tanks and jackable vehicles
-an ammo counter
-bigger city with banks, hospitals and police departments (that you can raid for cash/health/weaponry)
-an intro
-an ending
-Lots of stuff

Can you please stop using WSAD-only movement? It does not work on foreign keyboards! At least you made it configurable. Now to the game, I really like the idea! But the policemen are too strong, because I cannot escape their shots.

Played through on melee and didnt realise the shoot mechanic till I'd played it.. So I played it another couple of times. Liked the gangsters shooting you with tommy guns.. Felt very GTA when you're wanted with 5 stars! I reckon theres a mobster game mechanic in there somewhere, but I've no idea what it is..

The character animation is nice and smooth too, and the rocket launcher is fun!
