Ethan's Bike by RadioLemon

[raw]
made by RadioLemon for LD25 (COMPO)
ETHANS BIKE:

You are playing as Ethan, a little 6 year old boy who wants
to buy a brand new bike! However, he has no money! To make things worse, the bike
is off store shelves in just 15 days! Be villianous and steal from you neighbors!

Gameplay

1. Select house to attack in Nayborhood tab
2. Select tool to use in stuf
3. Select task to do with stuf i can do
4. Click orange/purple button on bottom right
5. Repeat and use your materials to get $100!

I have never developed anything before, so this was VERY exciting for me to actually finish something! I feel proud that I finished this, but also I am a bit guilty because how how AWESOME other people's submissions are. I was not able to get all the features I wanted to in due to ridiculously sloppy design. I actually just jumped in with a 'YEAH THIS IS GREAT' attitude, and no thought is a bad thing for design. This was a great learning experience for me, and I will defiantly be here for the next Ludum Dare (hopefully with something 100 times better than this thing!)

Well done for entering and finishing a game. You've got over the biggest hurdle.

I found the game itself quite confusing, and couldn't really figure out how to achieve anything.

Haha! This is one of the few entries that made me laugh. I lost the game with because I was short $2. Cool idea, and definitely one of the more innovative games I have played so far. I like to see more variety in what items you can get and the things you could do with them, but some of them were quite funny.

Also, don't put yourself down so much like this. There are other here that have been doing this for a while now, and some that are professional software developers that can make the competition intimidating. You made a very cool game here and certainly one of the most original in design. I hope to see your entry in the next LD.
