Pineapple Dreams by Sergey Mohov
Pineapple Dreams is a game about the good old ultra violence, in which I am the Villain, quite literally. The game shows what happens when you piss off a game developer and give him a baseball bat.
The game's aesthetics and gameplay were largely inspired by A Clockwork Orange and Drive.
Gameplay: avoid cops and kill everything you see!
Controls: WASD (or ZQSD if you're using an AZERTY keyboard) for movement, mouse for rotating the character, space bar for jumping.
Enjoy!
P.S. By the way, I made some other games too: http://sergeymohov.com

Good job
I'm aware of the mouse weirdness on some of the mice, because the rotation speed is directly mapped to your mouse sensitivity, which means that game experience may differ on different computers (which I recognize as a valid problem), as opposed to, say, Super Hexagon.
This issue has already been fixed, and I will upload the new version once the voting is over, because it's a pretty big fix and would be against the rules of the compo, which I respect.
Cheers, and thank you for your time.
Great job :)
The slanted movement does not work however, and is highly confusing. The connection of the mouse to the bat-position is erratic as well.
The other parts are there as well: music, sound, humor.
I like it. I would like it even better if I could really swing the bat.
My only criticism is that I really started to panic when I could not find my mouse pointer, especially when I wanted to close my browser tab.
The fact that the game is just squares and that trial version at the bottom right corner just add to the experience of why the developer is pissed off :D
You might be surprised, but I had a "Drive" feeling from the cops. Was that a part of it, or did you mean more the aesthetics? I watched it recently and the introduction of the movie really stuck to me, with the police cars. I saw somewhere it was intended to be like "swimming in a sea of sharks", and my first feeling was: maybe I'll make a game with this concept!
Anyway, good going.
