The aim was an RTS space game where you invade or destroy planets based off the LD25 theme "You are are Villain".
I didn't get everything I wanted in, but definitely enough to make a game that's not too boring hopefully.
This is my first submission, however I had so much fun I am definitely entering next time.
I used OpenGl through LWJGL and Java.

Source code is public domain as well. Have fun with it.

A bit repetitive, but everything that you've done works perfectly as far as I can tell. Also, there appears to be no way to lose or win.

Really liked the presentation: the sound and graphics. Especially the sound, which put me in mind of an old arcade game, or chiptunes.

Unfortunately, not having anything to fight against means that one tires of this quickly.

This was a good idea, and with a little polish I could see this being really fun- a few more surprises like roaming enemies for example, or the ability to interact with multiple planets at once? Also, putting together a web version will probably get you more votes for next time.

With that in mind, you might consider the free Java hosting I offer at http://StaticVoidGames.com. It has automatic support for LWJGL!

It's a good start to a game. I suggest continuing with the game and add enemies, perhaps multiple ships to control as your armada gets bigger, and planetary defense that you must combat and employ on your invaded planets.

Also, the game does need to work on speed issues with the actions, because everything did feel like it dragged on.
