Consumerism by RadioLemon

[raw]
made by RadioLemon for LD26 (COMPO)
My second time in Ludum Dare! I kinda feel bad about submitting my entry so early, but my code is too hard to manage (whine).

Things that I have learned:
-Avoid blob classes
-Avoid tight-knitted structure
-Avoid clumping too many things into 1 function
-Make your main mechanic fun

How does this go to the theme?
The goals of marketing is to get the consumer to buy stuff! Not very complex, thus minimal!

I will surely use this to help me become better later on in my adventures of game dev!

NOTE ABOUT THE DOWNLOADS: All of them are Zip files with .jars inside, I never had a Linux before, so I apologize if you guys are something different

Unrelated Note: My first upload was smash broken, but it works now!

Your Linux link is broken; looks like a copy/paste error. You can fix it by editing your entry.

I read through your help system, but I didn't really understand the relationship between work and income. Having a work schedule that was every other day made it hard to travel between work and shopping to maximize both. I didn't do very well; I couldn't make enough to keep up with my spending habits. =)

You put a lot into the game in a short amount of development time, which was nice.

The work place doesn't appear to work. I may be doing it wrong though. Win8.
