One By One is a puzzle game with one piece and one rule. A piece can only slide if it is in contact with another piece. Slide the pieces in the bottom board to match the pattern in the top board. You get points if you use fewer moves than what is shown.

In timed mode, you have ten seconds to make a correct match or you get a strike. Three strikes and game over. In untimed mode, you get a strike each time you take more than the shown number of moves to make a match.

Cool game. The only hitch that I ran into, that's especially bothersome in timed mode, is that the selected block is very sensitive to collisions, which sometimes made navigating tights spots difficult against the clock. Otherwise, great work.

High score: 9 points! This is a challenging and cool puzzle game that doesn't patronize the player with instruction. I really like that the most exposition we encounter is the title, which moves in a way the evokes the game's core mechanic. It took me a while to solve the first puzzle where the black piece had moved: nice!

Very full game-play for such a minimalist game!

Solid game. The music was perfect for the style of play. I was hoping for either an "undo" button or at least an "I give up" button as a mistake meant instead of getting a 2 I ended up with an 18 (which didn't affect me any differently).

Other than my mistake which caused me to move around like crazy just to continue, I enjoyed it!

Lovely graphics! The music was so calming, which soothed my annoyance at the 'counting' system which counted non-movements. I got a little annoyed at the movement (I don't like things going the wrong way when I'm under time pressure) but it's hard to stay annoyed at such a nice game.

I loved the puzzle element to this, but having clicks count as a move kinda annoyed me

Brilliant little puzzler. The only issue I had was that the sliding is a little sensitive - sometimes getting a piece to go the way I want takes a little trial and error. Other than that? Very professional. :3
