LoneStranger's Drag by LoneStranger

made by LoneStranger for LD26 (JAM)
Drag is a minimalist skill game where you try to last as long as you can before you inevitably fail. Simple, but might take a little trial and error to learn the rules.

Nice job! The game fits the theme and makes me want to keep trying to beat my score. I didn't understand what to do at first, but the hints helped with that :).

I took me a while until I got it, because it seems like I did something wrong, when the box hops back out. Innovative gameplay!

I like this game :) It's very simple and minimalist, so it fits pretty well in the theme.

Nice game. I was trying to control using WASD and arrow keys at first - but as I recalled the name of the game, I grabbed my mouse and dragged the squares. ^_^
That they disappeared faster and faster was a bit unexpected, so I lost at around ~19,000 points on my first try. D:
It was a bit hard to position the mouse to drag the squares, but this could actually turn out a nice game for a touchscreen device. :)

Fits the theme, minimal and fun ;). i didn't get it until the small squares started to disappear. I got a good score too :D.

Getting past 19,000 gets pretty intense and the sound fits really well. Nice work.

I managed level 7, 20614 points on my first play. I'm a sucker for little skill games like this. Even if it is a little carpal tunnel happy, I had fun playing it! Enjoyed the strange drone sounds too. :D

Not what I expected, in a good way.

Though simple, this game can quickly become addicting. I had no trouble figuring out what to do, although I think a rapid visual change to accompany the sound effect might make it even more intuitive. As others have said, this game would work much better on a touchscreen. Overall, cool idea and execution!

Nice idea. A bit hard for me to play being colorblind, but I made it to level 7 anyway.

Sometimes the squares wouldn't grab properly, which made me end up losing. But the concept was definitely minimal yet worked.

Sweet! Simple yet interesting.

I might say that I could have had maybe 1-3 more seconds on each level. Gets really tough fast :D

This reminds me of the minigame Sort or 'Splode (from Super Mario 64 DS and New Super Mario Bros.). I think the game could have been more fun to play if it didn't simply degrade to having to move my mouse more and more quickly and accurately, but it certainly does fit the theme. It's the kind of game which has potential to be very fun to play with more polish and interesting ideas.

I like it. It only took me a few seconds to realize what the goal of the game was and became much more intense then I expected it to.

This is addictive and fun, and a great take on the theme. My only complaint is that the audio volume was a bit annoying, those squareish waves have a lot of harmonics and tend to sound very harsh, so lowering the amplitude (or filtering high frequencies) is a must. But that

... but that's very minor, overall it's a nice entry, I enjoyed it.

Actually really intense haha! Realized the instructions on the second try. I'd like to see this game on a touch screen...
