Squishy's Escape is a 2d platformer. Squishy can change its shape to a parachute and a heavy block to help get through the levels.

You have to click inside the game window for the keys to work

Controls
Arrow keys to move.
Spacebar to Jump.
Press and Hold Spacebar to float while in the air.
Hold the down arrow to turn into a block to destroy broken tiles.

Like it. But I think limited lives is really unnecessary. Also, the replay after death took just so long.

I enjoyed it the only thing is I wish there was a faster way to restart the level. The addiction was real when playing.

Really nice. I just like simple functional platformers. Level design is also good. I don't think lives need to be limited.

This was incredible! i was scared for most of the game cause i had one life left after level 2, but i managed to beat the game first try! well done.

This was really well done! I loved the little character. The float transformation was adorable and I just cared about him so much! Don't know why. :) The mechanics felt pretty good and the levels were fun. I will say that dieing did feel pretty punishing because of the inclusion of lives and the long re-spawn time. But that did make me actually care as I went through the levels and wouldn't just jump into it without thinking. Really great mood to the game! Nice job. :)

I could forgive the slow respawns and the dick move just-out-of-sight spikes/water under a breakable block thing, but limited lives? Not for me. Besides that it controls well, is nicely animated and well put together.

Love it ! This is one of the best games I've played this ludum dare, the concept is cool and the level design is excellent. The graphics of the world could benefit from a little bit of polish and animation but the character is gorgeous. The audio is nice but it little bit too retro for my taste. The controls works well but the game feels a little bit slow paced when doing a level for the second time. Anyway, amazing overall job, 5/5, keep at it and make it great !

The jump controls could be improved by allowing vertical climb even after a side collision is detected. It's rather difficult to jump over obstacles when you can't be right next to them because as soon as your sideways movement returns a collision with a wall, your jump is canceled. I liked turning into a parachute and floating downward, though.
