Might be a bit difficult, but that's kind of the point, to die a lot of times until you learn how to effectively dispose of each enemy.
Maybe worth mentioning, you can't beat it, it just gets more difficult as you progress.
This is my first finished Ludum Dare game aswell :D

And the starting screen's comments are really opportune.
It is amazing how each enemy is different and or an iteration on one you already saw before.
Using windows 8.
Tried it, it's a really cool game!
Had a blast and will definitely finish this one day when I have a little bit more time! Very good job!
* the minimap
* the varied enemy behaviors
* the particle effects for enemy and player deaths
The boss of stage one actually seemed easier than those flashing red blocks and the snake thing. Anyway, terrific entry. Well done!
