Short and sweet, but I would have liked more of an ending. Good job with the source! Seems well organized, you could have easily put this together in a few hours if you had it well planned"},{"author_name":"Anudin","author_uid":"110934","time":"Aug 30, 2016 @ 1:06am","epoch":1472518860,"text":"The dragon did not stand a chance against my bow! It's a cool little game you made :) Just one thing to improve: since you move around alot it would be nice to shorten the directions, n e s w would be sufficient to move around i guess"},{"author_name":"Quicklyer","author_uid":"110555","time":"Aug 30, 2016 @ 1:24am","epoch":1472519940,"text":"I like the color scheme. Reminds me of LoRD, the old old school BBS doors game. Makes me kind of wish I used that as an inspiration for my entry."},{"author_name":"scriptorum","author_uid":"17811","time":"Aug 30, 2016 @ 1:29am","epoch":1472520240,"text":"Good work. I killed the dragon, which left me feeling unsatisfied so I killed two sheep, which didn't help, so then I killed a person. And the I was just a dragonslayer with an oathbow and nothing to do. A simple "You're awesome, the townsfolk love you!" would be nice at the end. I mean assuming I didn't kill the sole remaining townie."},{"author_name":"xgeovanni","author_uid":"11296","time":"Aug 31, 2016 @ 4:35pm","epoch":1472661000,"text":"As others have said, it would have been nice to have more indication of victory. Also, it would have been nice to be able to talk to the person rather than just kill them. A little more scenery description also wouldn't have gone amiss.\r<br\/>\r<br\/>Still, cool engine, and figuring out the map was fun."},{"author_name":"StMatn","author_uid":"18894","time":"Sep 1, 2016 @ 12:35pm","epoch":1472733000,"text":"I really liked playing this. It took me a moment to understand the map, but then it was really fun. Well, some ending mesage woud have been nice, after you slay the dragon. I actually would like to play more of this :)"},{"author_name":"seurimas","author_uid":"41756","time":"Sep 7, 2016 @ 7:18pm","epoch":1473275580,"text":"Needed an ending, but otherwise a nice little quest. \r<br\/>\r<br\/>I would have also liked a few secrets or crazy stuff. For example, I took a sword out of a stone, why not let me grab the stone instead and fight with that? Cause 90% of people grab the sword, but including a "you smash X with a stone like a primitive" option could have been funny. Stuff like that can be low effort for high reward. Just a thought, though, as tone is also important.\r<br\/>\r<br\/>The colors were a good touch."}],"images":["ld36\/26539-b026c73089d5685567eb83a59574b147.jpg"],"links":[{"url":"http:\/\/mtib.github.io\/ludum36","text":"Web"},{"url":"https:\/\/github.com\/mtib\/ludum36","text":"Source"}],"metadata":{"g_key":"248","g_author":"26539","g_event":"LD36","g_eventkey":"35","g_subevent":"COMPO","g_urlkey":"242","g_title":"A Dragons Tale","g_status":"UCHK1","g_place":"99999","g_commentcount":"7","g_site2_node_id":"0","g_hide":"N","g_has_icon":"Y","g_rqueue":"0","g_random":"0"},"nds":[],"node":null,"orig_images":["http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/compo2\/\/570486\/26539-shot0-1472406337.png-eq-900-500.jpg"],"text":"# Ancient Technology\r\n\r\n## A Dragons Tale\r\n\r\n### A DOS Text Adventure written in JavaScript\r\n\r\nThis is a simple DOS text adventure game.\r\nI spent most time developing the engine in the background.\r\nIt could be used for other games, as you just need to provide \r\na definition for the map (JS-Object) and the different Items and Characters.\r\n\r\nWriting events is also possible.
