Six Beats Per Minute by Tortche
Six Beats Per Minute (Around A Wishing Well)
You play as a wisp, tasked with collecting the light that the wellsprings heartbeats produce.
The goal of the game is to collect as many lights as you can before they dissappear and the game ends.
My first Ludum dare and the closest thing to a finished game I've ever produced. Done in less then 24 hours due to my own time constraints (life intruding into my hobbies).
I spent the first 7 hours fretting over the theme and gameplay mechanics, but I ended up settling on something a little arcade.
My high score is 142, if you can beat it then you've earned the right to feel smugly better than me at my own game :D
Made in Unity (Free), Blender, Gimp and sfxr.

(Longer feedback comment when the compo is over :) Work, work.)
Game is a bit big for my window, and the acceleration feels a bit odd. Other than that, nice game.
Zephyr: I have the shadows set to stable fit, I think it's to do with the shadows cast by cutout diffuse shaders on the transparent textures.
I should of scaled the window down, your right. The windows build lets you select the resolution if need be.
The gameplay is nice. The wisp feels a little bit hard to control at first, but that gets better after playing a little - and I guess it might've been to easy if you had really crisp controls.
The presentation looks good, everything from the environment to lights and the wisp itself fits well together.
A bit of music wouldn't have hurt; if you can't do it yourself, have a look at generators like http://abundant-music.com!
All in all, a pretty good job! And congratulations on finishing your first LD! (Even more so in such a short timeframe.)
