I wanted to feel really powerful when I transformed. It felt a little flat to me when I did it. The game felt good though.

i wish i could have transformed into one of those other mobs and had better powers. and you should block the player from getting to the next area until they finish some objective. other then that the game was pretty good.

The sword swinging animation is beautiful! And I liked the "herp derp" english for the comedic value. I understand the time was tight, but I didn't even remember I had special powers until after I beat the game, plus they weren't all that useful when I finally tried them out.

Maybe making something you can't beat as a human would also give some meaning to your shapeshifting?

Finally, the music was good, but a tad too short, and the loop too evident. Try adding some sound effects too!

Good work!

That was fun. Some constructive feedback: The sword swinging animation was great, but the shield blocking one could use some work. -- I really liked the pixel art levels, it looks like you made them in paint brush (maybe you did, and if so, that's a pretty cool hack). -- Also the loop in the music would be fine for a short game's title sequence, but for actual game play, it loops too soon. -- I wish you could shape shift into other guys (like maybe the last one you killed or something -- esp. if the skeletons had a different "special" action). [I know time was short, you did a great job, this is just some constructive feedback, I hope it's helpful. :-)]

Awesome music, great pixel art. I was able to run through to the ending room without killing anyone though. I love the styling and feel of the game. Kudos on the lovely transformation pillar of light! :)

Gameplay felt great, good job (the blocking animation is glitchy though).

I was hoping to transform into the html 5 skeleton - nope. :( Had a great time tho- I quit at 62/62 48/48 21!!! Great feel, can only be tightened up and made better. Reminded me of Crawl. Fantastic!

In a game like this, I felt like I should be able to attack north and south, not just left and right. And there didn't seem to be much advantage to changing shape... and what's up with turning into one of the ghosts that I'm fighting?

But this is a good start. A little story, some sound effects, and it could be pretty good. Almost felt like I was playing an early build of Hyper Light Drifter :)
