Lost In Transmission by mtrc
Roboprobe's one-way mission to the Space Lab is complete, but he's not ready to be shut down just yet! Help him repair the communications array and grab an escape pod back to Earth!
Roboprobe can be sent commands to move him around, but he can only be given each command once! Think carefully. . .
Want a little bonus ending? Complete the game without failing any of the levels! Restarting with 'R' doesn't count :)
Run the game by double-clicking the .jar file

Lost in Transmission was made by me, Michael Cook! It's my third Ludum Dare entry, and my second trying my hand at art and music. First go at animation too. I'm pretty pleased with this one, although the mechanics didn't come together in time to make really satisfying puzzles. Hopefully what's there is interesting and fun enough for you!
Music made with Bosca Ceoil, SFX using CFXR and art using Pixen. Coded in Java + Flixel-GDX.

Crash report:
http://pastebin.com/FiWYZq6P
Some tricky puzzles towards the end.
I got stuck on Circumvention first, then I almost gave up on Quad Core, and and the last level was only slightly less tricky.
But I got it at last! Back to Earth!
Should replay for the bonus ending, bookmarked the page to remind me.
The background music is nice, but the sound effects can be a little grating. Not sure why, maybe they're much louder than the music? I dunno.
Overall 5/5 for a job well done!
PS: I couldn't open the zip in 7zip, got an error about unsupported compression or so. Worked with Windows' built in zip manager. Oh, and I replied to your comment on my game!
The graphics all go together and the audio/music adds to the spacey theme. Puzzles are engaging but not too hard, it was just right. Great job! Hard to believe it was made in only 48 hours. But how does it relate to the 'You only get one' theme ?
@bttf - You Only Get One chance to send each instruction to the robot ;)
Audio was great, and art was good too. Nice game overall.
Don't know if I can find other ways but in the last 3-4 levels, I have to send the instruction while the robot is still moving. That makes the connection between the game and the theme seems less strict.
Everything else is perfect :)
I hope I didn't lost you completely and this information was somehow helpful. Good luck!
P.S. That repair sound is horrible, had to mute my headphones at some point, sorry.
@mortus: Thanks for bearing with it and I'm sorry about the repair noise - I think it got corrupted in export from CFXR and became awful. What you've found isn't technically a bug I guess, but rather a feature I didn't make clear - you can't dash downwards. Although it does sound like you managed to do more actions than should be legal in that level. I'll check it out, thanks :)
If you want a tip to try the level again:
Down - Left - Down was right. Try going Left again at this point :)
Very nice job.
Sometimes collisions laggy.
But good job in any case =)
