Cavern Crawler by Amateur Labs

[raw]
made by Amateur Labs for LD28 (JAM)
Finally finished! It was our first Ludum Dare, and although we didn't get to polish the game as much as we wanted to, it's at least playable ^^

You're trapped in a maze by evil spirits, and have to use items lying around to avoid the obstacles and find the exit. The catch? You Only Get One item at a time ;)

Arrow keys: move
Spacebar: jump
Left-click: interact, pick up item

Made in Unity3D, all code by me, all artwork by my coworker Caspian. Audio is pulled from pdsounds.org.

I don't think I got very far, but I loved the sound effects and feeling of being in the cavern. 5 stars for mood! Let's here it for the ladies! Oh and thanks for the tip on using abundant music. You saved me! I bookmarked pdsounds too. Thanks again!

I saw nothing but tunnel with locked door in the end. Maybe I did something wrong.
Atmosphere is great!

That was neat. I think I got kinda far. I think the cavern was a little big. Sometimes is was neat to be walking down a long hallway towards the light, other times I was left wondering "how much further?..." I felt a sort of dialogue between creator and player, I enjoyed getting items and seeing how they'd be used. Thanks for the game!

Thanks for playing! I ended up throwing the actual maze together in the last two hours, so I never got a feel for how long the tunnels were. My apologies >_>

Same as 01rafael's case happened to me. I went back and forth the tunnel with no idea of what to do.

Oh, right. There's a key on the floor in front of you in the first room. Once you click on it to pick it up, you can open the door with it. I forgot I was going to make it more obvious :/
