one chance to escape by boringprogrammer

[raw]
made by boringprogrammer for LD28 (COMPO)
My first LD ever.

I don't know if I used the theme to full extend. In each playtrough you get one chance to win, and if you die you die. Also you only get one mechanic to actively beat the game with, other than your wits and reflexes/luck.

The game did not turn out how I wanted. I kinda understand now why they say that games are never really done, they sort of escape. Anyway, it is out now. I learned a lot, I am a proud that I managed to finish something playable. But sad that I aimed a bit too high.

Lessens learned:
Collision code is actually pretty simple, no need to spend 7 hours trying to make it work using advanced math.
You really need to think before writing stuff in WebGL.
Stop reinventing the wheel, I decided that code everything from scratch, Collision code, tile rendering, sprites, pathfinding..
CoffeeScript is cool and weird at the same time, but I like the minimalistic syntax.

Source will come in shortly, but my code is seriously very messy.

Well made! I've loved the pixel graphics. :)
I don't know if it's only a problem of mine, but if I press spacebar the page scrolls down (I'm using Chrome).
PS: remember to rate other games to get other reviews! I think that's why you've only 5 reatings!
