Playability wise, I found the gravity to be rather unforgiving, which made the game quite difficult, so I would have preferred looser jumping! I would recommend implementing Sonic Physics (http:\/\/info.sonicretro.org\/Sonic_Physics_Guide) and getting a feel on how to implement a really good platforming engine, it certainly helped me!
