When you place the first village.\r\n\r\nFrom then on the simulation's rules handle the growing village.\r\nThe villagers will gather food, grain and building materials to increase their population and village size. \r\nIf you choose a bad location then they will die.\r\n\r\n\r\nThe simulation isn't perfect yet, well actually it's pretty far off from perfect. The balance on resource gathering is out of whack and world generation sometimes goes a bit haywire. The latter of which requires a restart. The former is just how it goes. I'll fix that as I continue with the simulation after LD ends.\r\n\r\nA gallery of my progress through development is available here:\r\nhttp:\/\/imgur.com\/a\/13k1R\r\n\r\nIf you want to run it from source you'll need to have python and pygame installed.\r\nThe game will run on any platform that pygame can be installed on.\r\n\r\nInstructions:\r\nYour villagers will need to gather three resources from their environment.\r\nGrain, building materials and food.\r\nBuilding materials are gathered from mountains and forests in the form of wood and stone. Food in the form of meat or fish from grasslands, and rivers\/lakes. They gather grain from the farms they produce.\r\nOnce they expand they will also gather meat from pastures they construct.\r\nYou will need to choose a starting location that gives them a good selection of resources in their environment.\r\n\r\nControls:\r\nn = regenerate world\r\ny = confirm village start location\r\nclick = choose cell\r\n\r\nColour scheme:\r\nGreen = Grasslands\r\nDark Green = Forests\r\nBlue = Rivers\/Oceans\/Lakes\r\nGrey = Mountains\r\nRed = Village cells\r\nYellow = Farms\r\nWhite = Pastures","title":"Moment of Interaction"}
