Law Claw by quadtree

[raw]
made by quadtree for LD35 (COMPO)
NOTE: The HTML5 version is more performance intensive than the Windows version. If it runs slowly, please use the Windows version. It also uses asm.js and therefore runs best on 64-bit Firefox.

Bandits are attacking the royal customs outpost you are stationed at! Luckily, you are a weretiger and should be able to hold them off without difficulty. Less luckily, the other guards don't know this, so it is probably better if they don't see you transform.

Keep the bandits away from the strongbox and eliminate them. Regain your transformation energy at the ale barrel. Watch out for bandits with silver arrows.

Controls:
WASD/Arrow Keys - Move
Left Click - Attack
Right Click - Transform
Space - Jump
Enter - Start/Restart

Getting a couple errors trying to run this:

The program can't start because XAPOFX1_5.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

Do I need to install some redist somewhere?

That's odd, that does sound the like the redist is missing but it should install itself automatically when you run LD35.exe. If it doesn't, the redist can be found in the ZIP at "WindowsNoEditor/Engine/Extras/Redist/en-us/UE4PrereqSetup_x86.exe".

I like how different the 2 forms are, especially night vision.

The crossbow is hard to aim; a reticle would be nice. For combat, it seems like transforming is always the better option.

The penalties for transforming are kind of vague and not an effective deterrent.

I enjoyed the relative vastness of the environment. Though, the need to defend the box discourages exploration.

The ragdoll physics produce some delightful break dances.

I really like night vision, a very entertaining game. A reticle for when you take the crossbow is very necessary.

A little hard to control but it is pretty good. I like how the player isn't necessarily bad but still has to hide the transform.

i had a hard time determining guard vs bandit. but this was pretty well done. and with the big environment i definitely strayed away from the game, and just attacked whoever i saw

Cool idea, matches the theme good! 3rd Person with werewolf would do even better. And better audio (atmo, music...).

Enjoyed the concept switching between the two characters. Found it quite hard to aim with the crossbow but the weretiger was fun to play as!

A crosshair would be useful for aiming. I love the idea of a were tiger. Very interesting game idea. :)
