I like idle games, like "progress quest", "linear RPG", and more recently "Megami Quest". \r<br\/>\r<br\/>You did a great job with the graphics and lighting effects. I would have liked to see a travelling dot, though. The font was challenging to read! A status bar to keep track of how many locals are helping me would have been great.\r<br\/>\r<br\/>In the end, I rescued my daughter and the game said "great, now get to the port!" Since I had forgotten which dot was the port, and since none of them seemed to be clearly marked "port", I gave up at that point."},{"author_name":"drakekin","author_uid":"21100","time":"Dec 16, 2013 @ 4:07pm","epoch":1387209720,"text":"ian_snyder: I'm working on getting it working, but the code is a bit of a mess (understatement of the week) and I have no idea why it's not working.\r<br\/>\r<br\/>arrogant.gamer: Thanks, sometimes the port and fortress get put in the same city and I didn't have time to fix it. I like the randomly generated map and the lighting effects. The time limit based on dates is quite a good idea (even though I pretty sure I jumped back a month once.)\r<br\/>\r<br\/>It is a bit too bad that the game is heavily luck-based.\r<br\/>\r<br\/>(For me the arrow is displayed about 50 pixels over the town I'm actually in, is that intentional?)"},{"author_name":"drakekin","author_uid":"21100","time":"Dec 17, 2013 @ 10:11pm","epoch":1387317960,"text":"ZYXer: The actual game was thrown together in about three hours on Sunday, I'd originally planned more in the way of mechanics but ran out of time. The way Ludum Dare works you need to rate games to get rated. Currently you only have 5 ratings and have rated none. So to hurry rate at least 20 games and be sure to leave comments as most people tend to rate back!"},{"author_name":"JaymeeMak","author_uid":"30729","time":"Jan 4, 2014 @ 7:08am","epoch":1388818980,"text":"Running Firefox 26 and it didn't work for me - the page just stayed black no matter what I did, except for the banner up top."},{"author_name":"JaymeeMak","author_uid":"30729","time":"Jan 4, 2014 @ 7:09am","epoch":1388819040,"text":"Also, I just tried Chrome as well, still not working."}],"images":["ld28\/21100-6bf7df29502e033975cead2d86cc22f0.jpg","ld28\/21100-50b784f637ae94e2eaf3a5eabe3875a3.jpg","ld28\/21100-7b8dd6b68eb324b4b7780623dbdd9741.jpg"],"links":[{"url":"https:\/\/rawgithub.com\/Drakekin\/ld28\/master\/test2.html","text":"Web"},{"url":"https:\/\/github.com\/Drakekin\/ld28","text":"Source"}],"metadata":{"g_key":"21040","g_author":"21100","g_event":"LD28","g_eventkey":"20","g_subevent":"COMPO","g_urlkey":"21069","g_title":"Inquisition","g_status":"UCHK1","g_place":"99999","g_commentcount":"8","g_site2_node_id":"0","g_hide":"N","g_has_icon":"Y","g_rqueue":"0","g_random":"0"},"nds":[],"node":null,"orig_images":["http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/compo2\/\/308734\/21100-shot0.png-eq-900-500.jpg","http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/compo2\/\/308734\/21100-shot1.png-eq-900-500.jpg","http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/compo2\/\/308734\/21100-shot2.png-eq-900-500.jpg"],"text":"The inquisition knock on your door one night accusing you of heresy. To ensure your compliance, they take your one and only daughter to their fortress city and demand you submit yourself in thirty days for your trial. If you attempt to flee, they will take it as your guilt and punish your daughter in your stead. Your lord, having no love for the inquisition, has gifted you safe passage out of the country, but you must free your daughter and find her a second ticket yourself. Created in ~24 hours on Sunday, contains absolutely no killing.\r\n\r\nWARNINGS: Link doesn't work on chrome, apparently works fine on firefox. To use in chrome, download the source and run the included python script and then go to http:\/\/localhost\/test2.html and everything will work fine.\r\n\r\nINSTRUCTIONS: Hover over the map to see the cities, click on a city (the white, red, green and blue dots) to travel there. Acquire help and tickets to storm the fortress, rescue your daughter and flee to safety at the port.","title":"Inquisition"}
