Burning Fridges by foumart
Burning Fridges is a Sci-fi puzzle with Sokoban mechanics, but with an addition of alien-enemy AI on the field.
"A spaceship was infiltrated during interstellar voyage.
One Mechanic wakes up from crio-sleep to investigate and fix the damage..."
Mouse Controls: Click the adjacent green tiles to move or the main character to pause and skip the turn.
Keyboard Controls (Post-Compo only): Arrow keys or WASD to move, Space to pause. Right Arrow or Space to Skip Cut-scenes.
Instructions: Navigate the Mechanic [the green square] and use a Fridge [the red terminal] to capture the Litoxyde spawn [the moving flame]. All boxes can be slided by pushing them in the desired direction. The goal is to plug the hole in the spacecraft shell with a captured Litoxyde. You'll get only one chance to do that - often only one shot with a fridge will be possible at all, so spare your moves and plan the enemy behaviour well. You can foresee where the Litoxyde may be going by measuring it's attraction with the flammable items [the white boxes].
In the post-compo version the enemy's target is marked with red. Also watch for oxygene and temperature levels.
I tried to incorporate both FGL competition and the LudumDare event, combining the themes "Freezing" and "You only get one" in this game. Originally I planned to submit a Compo entry but after the initial 48h I was not satisfied with the result and decided to invest a day more.
I was looking close after the feedback given here in the comments and applied numerous of udates based on them.
Besides all the improvements, the updates include 4 additional stages, tightening the A.I. and finaly some sound and music!
I took sounds from my LD26 submission, the music is the awesome track Shapeshifter by Clearside (CREDITS)
The current Post-Jam built is version 0.63 (the submission for refference is 0.2)
Please if you are in a mood to leave feedback I'll be glad if you reffer the post-compo version.
I want to Thank You All for the kind words and for trying my game !:)

Very good game, felt proffesional. - Now go add sound in a non-competition version :P
Too bad for the audio, but the game looked good in general.
Why don't you expand this one?
Besides all the improvements I've made to the gameplay and the UI, the updates include 4 additional stages, tightening the AI and finally some sound and music!
That said, the game looks and plays really great! Nice entry!
I saw a dynamic puzzle with levels that have single solution, a mechanic that requires a single operation to complete a level(the sliding-through-enemy trick).. and it was the better bid for me :D I don't regret dismissing all the "only one" restrictions that came to my mind :) More than 10 days of euphoria during the competition and updating the post-compo version ware really fun :) Thank you Ludum Dare and all the competitors !
