Controlled Shifting by Gemcc
This is my first Ludum Dare!
I unfortunately only found out about this 14 hours ago, and because of timezones and I'm in australia, I ended up with only about 4-6 hours of time to work on it around other activities...
anyway, About the game:
it is focused on the theme: Shapeshifting, and the main goal is to gain mass and not be turned into a sphere.
you can collect the boxes and they merge into you, henceforth changing your shape. Yes I know of the many bugs, like you can escape from the playing field etc. but with more time I would have liked to have improved on them and the many bugs.
I must say I only started learning C# last year and this is my first game! I think it was a great learning experience for anyone looking to get into programming.
Enjoy, remember: don't stop moving and on a last note, make sure to turn on your sound.

It doesn't feel like a completed game but it is a good start though. Not bad for a first game attempt in so few time.
Overall it's a solid entry for a first timer.
The music is pleasant and fits surprisingly well.
The gameplay itself is quite relaxing and forgiving, yet tricky when the mass of the player blob increases.
Good job, keep at it.
