It's like Cave Story and Mega Man had a baby.

At first I thought the game was broken . . . very clever!

Very interesting interpretation of the theme. I couldn't hear any sound. Don't know if that is a bug on my end or if you didn't have any.

Awesome concept! I really like the idea of collecting the memory cubes to discover backstory, you should definitely keep working on expanding this project!

Only the first level worked for me.
After some text popup, and level became darker, I could go outside and nothing happened :o

Cool game! I like the graphics, but it would be 5x better with sound!

Reached "the end" then read the comments. Glad I did.

Amazing! I gave up on it after the lights went out at the beginning but came back after reading the comments. I love the art and the blobs and the adorable gruesomeness of it all!

The story and graphics are nice and the controlos are tight. Well done.

Surprisingly long and detailed for something made in 48 hours. Once I found the first secret things really started to pick up.

Very pretty. That boss was too hard for a character with limited movement and 1 hit death. (unless I missed something)?

Great work. I did get stuck at the first boss - although I also discovered that you can stand just to the left of the grass area and the boss can't hit you until it starts shooting. :) Nice how the unlocked abilities let you deal with new areas in new ways.

Web version froze for me at the first right arrow sign. An empty text box comes up, then nothing.

Excellent game! It should have been clearer that you needed to go back and in particular fall into just the right hole. But in the end it was a very good game. Very fun!

Love it! very cavestory, very fun, great graphics! I especially love the death cloud when you kill the slimes! Very challenging boss at the end, I had so little health she kept one shotting me, almost had her once but I missjumped and she jumped on me haha! Very good job sneaking the hole in there, would of thought the game was broken if not for the theme ;)

Great job!! Beautiful pixel art, and solid controls. Boss fight was pretty easy to exploit, and was too hard otherwise (I think I missed some cubes though)

Loved the misleading the player thing, but I honestly quit once after the training level, and didn't replay it until I read the comments. It worked a bit too well :D Good work!

I need to get my joypad out for the boss fights on this.
It's a shame you didn't have a sound, but...

I am book-marking this entry =)

This game really lacked sounds... >_<
The ending would be so much moodier, if a proper music...

The smoke/explosion after killing a slime felt great! Overall, graphics were good, but it lacked some polish in a few parts...

This could be a awesome game!! :)

Nice game but it could've been better if it has audio. It's one of the best "feel" when you play a game.

This is a really great and fun game. I enjoyed it from start to finish and I really liked the secret based game-play. Really good use of the theme with the story as well. The boss fight was my favorite part. You don't often see decent bosses in Ludum Dare entries. Excellent Work!

Impressive for an LD. :O Some balancing issues especially on Corrupted blob's life.

Secrets in Ludum Dare games a pretty cool - and especially fit this theme well! In the end, I found 6 memory cores, but the end boss took too long for me too finish and I gave up after a few tries. (Then I read the comments and used the exploit. Still took me a while!)

The art was lovely as always! I just wish it was a bit bigger on my 15.6" TrueHD laptop screen: http://puu.sh/8E9yR/abf79d7fee.jpg - maybe think about allowing bigger resolutions next time.

All in all, great work - and secrets are always a bold thing to do in the LD compo, haha.

PS: While closing the game, I realized I started the game again with full cubes. There isn't a second different playthrough I just missed, is there? :|

Thanks for the awesome feedback :)
I wish I knew how to make music but my best attempt is to extract awful music from random generators. No one wants to hear bad music too :x
It's a risky move to add secrets to Ludum Dare entries, but after doing like 4 or 5 games I felt why not?
Also thank you for pointing out the resolution issue, I ran the game mostly in web format so I neglected to check the desktop versions. I'll make sure to figure something out soon and for future entries.
As for the full cube restart it's currently a bug where the entire game doesn't fully refresh after the boss. I believed to have fixed it but I guess it popped out again :/

Thanks for all the valuable feedback
