The Pixel Underground by Pkshields

[raw]
made by Pkshields for LD29 (JAM)
The Pixel Underground is my entry into the Ludum Dare 29. It is a simple top down shooter built with the most programmer of programmer art: Boxes. Battle your way through a multitude of vicious, deadly enemies to try and become King of the Pixel Underground. The game is built around vibrant, colorful artstyle, deceptively fun gameplay and, of course, Unity.

The game controls well and looks nice, but didn't really tie in to the theme apart from the name. But it was fun, reminded me of Riochet and Geometry Wars!

don't understand at the begin but after,
what a great survival-horror-maniac-shooter-pixel game!
(screaming pixels are terrible)

Awesome controls and gameplay. Even if the art is simple, it's coded properly and you know what is what and who is who.

But:
- I've failed to grasp the theme here...and what about that intro?
- That.Scream.

Not really related to the theme and the complete lack of instructions makes this disappointing :(

You didn't write what are the controls :o
after realising them it didn't took long till the game became repetitive.
The scream surprised me o-o
