FalloutRun by Alphonse

So, I didnt do nearly as much as I wanted. Got sidetracked into playing DnD.

Oh well, it was super fun for me. I taught myself animations, and made some crappy pixel art for them. Having never done animations on unity or used animation controllers before I'll consider this a success.

You can't win in this game. But the concept is straight forward. A nuke is coming, if you don't make it to the end in time (the fallout shelter, beneath the surface), you will die.

Pandemonium ensues and you run off to survive. I have a lot more ideas for this game, and I plan on completing it in the next 30 days and posting updates along the way. The coding is probably awful, the art is awful, but it's mine, and it's the first thing I've ever put out there as far as making a game goes.

Going forward(Post competition) I'm going to be working on:
Sound.
Procedural generator levels.
NPCs who can get in your way.

If you have any ideas feel free to pass them along. I definitely plan on getting a lot better for the next LD in the future, and participating in future mini-LDs.

P.S. Adding builds, was just making sure I got my entry in first.

Good work so far, glad you learned some unity out of it.

Hi, this is Vector from the Victory Garden team! (posting under Solifuge's account)

I really like the look of this game! The crowd scenes look great, and honestly watching people being knocked about like bowling pins by the cars is a treat. You've got a couple of bugs, though:

1. I was hit by a car a few times and went offscreen, or was able to keep running while prone (this was hilarious, by the way)

2. In my second run, the bomb went off early.

3. The WASD controls seem not to work. The guy moves his legs, but he stays in place. I'm not sure if they're not supported or not--but since Unity told me I should use them as my primary movement method, I thought I'd let you know.

In any case, great job and good luck with your next competition!

Cool concept. Although when I died my character just kind of fell off the screen into oblivion.

Hahaha! I liked it : jumping over cars, avoiding nukes, general panic! Yeah!
Good job! Make more games!

I chuckled a bit when the car plowed through the people on the street, then promptly got wrecked by a car that was driving on the sidewalk for some reason. This is a very silly game.
