The Leeway Brothers' Bohemian Debut Of A Lifetime by Jiggawatt
Go beneath conventions like WASD controls to discover the underground funk culture. Play that funky music to make the world a more extravagant place.
It's got some quite promising ideas, but I'm gonna need more time than a game jam to execute them properly. (The missing "gig mode" is a bit unfortunate.) Until that, do enjoy the bits that are playable.

Much like typing at the dead, this is treated as a silly game first and a psuedo-typing challenge second, making it kind of fun to play.
I'm looking forward to see what this game will become in the future. :)
(Cool retro font btw :3)
I did try a metronome feature to enforce the rhythm (marked by the blinking green light - keys wouldn't count when the light wasn't green), but that was kind of restricting and laggy so I disabled it in the end. I guess that wouldn't have been so bad though.
And I appreciate that you appreciate my font connoisseurship. I downloaded the red font but it didn't work right, so I recreated it in Fontstruct because it's perfect for this. Using 04b_03 everywhere feels lazy, details like that matter to me.
Pretty cool, and I'd easily listen to that song for hours on loop.
Which reminds me, I should add like arrows highlighting that you can change the area. I understand it's easy to miss some of the spam during a good jam.
I like the characters a lot and sadly I missed some parts that they said because I was concentrating on my, uh, audience. (That is the people that have yet to flee in disgust.)
A hint for the signs over the audience members: Those should probably be higher/lower when two become to near so they don't obscure each other. Also it might be helpful to be able to switch to a QWERTZ/AZERTY layout, but hey, that's obviously nothing you think of while jamming.
Pity you didn't get to finish it. I'll check out the post-compo version if you finish it! Sorry I couldn't provide any hints on how to make it a better musical game, it's something I have absolutely no knowledge about...
