La ciudad que ocultaba by Capitals
Lost in the Annals of time, as small town lies. You have just been voted mayor on a basis of economic and population growth. However, having been isolated from the rest of the society for so long you have to rush to discover Ancient Technologies to upgrade to modern times.
I was going to enter this in the Compo, however I passed out last night so I missed the main entering time. :(
Also if you have a problem with the game and what to contact me directly contact me at @NoLevelCap
DAMN I FORGOT TO PUT THE CAMERA CONTROLS IN:
Q/E - Up/Down
W/S - Zoom
A/D - Rotate

But I felt that the camera was hard to use, so the text above the cards that are layed down was really hard to read. This might just be me, but I felt that the UI font was also pretty hard to read. The part that really bothers me though is that the instructions are a bit unclear. I'm still not completely sure how it works, but that you're raising some stats that do stuff I'm not told about. I found myself slapping cards on random tiles and hoping it did something. I'm also still not sure why tiles dissapear after a little while.
I didn't end up completing it, but that's just because I realized that would take a really long time. I'm not against this, as I think I got the full experience enough to judge it, but it would have been nice to have the option to finish it within like 5-10 minutes.
Also, there's a bug where if you zoom in all the way it's possible to come out of the bottom of the island.
To be honest, I didn't understand how it worked, so I too just placed the tokens randomly and watched the numbers on the right change. Though frankly I never could play these types of games, so this may be just me being stupid.
Also, I want to praise the visuals (even though I didn't like the font since it was a bit hard to read) and the nice, calm music. It feels very polished and nicely done.
I liked it enough to be playing for awhile and it seems that I wasn't even close to finish it.
If you keep working on the game, perhaps improving the text and explaining the rules a bit better or just showing more info to the player this could be very good :)
the game play was a bit to be desired, i liked the idea but it was rather confusing as to what was happening and how to progress.
I had no idea what the controls were but after looking at the comments that was remedied quite quickly.
A bit of polishing and i think this could go places, Good job.
If you could work a little bit on a pretty interface/tutorial, your game would be excellent I think
