Well, this is the second LD in which we participated together (me and my girlfriend) . In this issue, we tried to do something different: finish a game with just the two of us doing the work. She as the artist and myself as the programmer. But fate did not want it to be this time. She fell ill, and I ended up doing all the art x_x do not notice the details, but she did the game design and the translation of all texts (including this one). In addition to this problem, our audio designer abandoned us: ~ So we ended up with a mute game. But enough about that ... Catacombs is an action game in which Steve , a direct descendent of a formerly wealthy family , after seeing three generations of his family living like " normal people " , and being the cause of jokes within French high society, decides to find what took away the family´s wealth . In his research, he discovers that one of his ancestors, Baron Condregore , disappeared with fortune , and he also discovers the place where he is buried . Deciding to change history for the Fortaine family, he goes in search of the corpse of Condregore , and embarks on an adventure like no other.

Interesting premise, right? I hope you enjoy it, and give us some feedback.

Very french. Also I died without having played nearly enough to know what was going on, and was too lazy to reload without having a replay or respawn.

The text on starry background is very difficult to read. Felt live a real text dump. Also I never used the attack.
If you want todo another game like this try breaking the text into smaller bits, focusing on readability. Also tying text to walking forward or parts of the level works. The way you did it felt very book ended.
