Collided Worlds by CreatorOfWorlds

[raw]
made by CreatorOfWorlds for LD36 (JAM)
Two ancient civilizations must battle against each other. World 1 has been opressed by World 2 for as long as the history books can tell. Exploitation of human resources is a natural occurence. The top students of the mandatory Bachelor's Absolute Judgement Scale (BAJS) taken at age 18 are all sent to the finest universities of World 2. It's considered a great honor to be selected, but it means World 1 see very little technological advancement.

Apart from the BAJS, World 1 farmers must turn over a large amount of their grain, crops and livestock to World 2, leading to famines and hatred.

Lately, nationalism has grown stronger than ever. Young ones have managed to find a way to fake the BAJS and are developing weapons on their own. Data and communication is available thanks to a huge underground network developed over several years. At long last, it looks like World 1 is going to be able to fight on par with World 2 and free themselved from the schackles of opression.

But where will it lead? At last they're at equal footing, but will the war lead to freedom or just mutual destruction?

The controls are:

Player one: WASD
Player two: Arrow keys

"Collided worlds is action packed. Its subtle political commentary really makes you wonder."

Very interesting. I was a bit confused when I played the game before reading the description, but it all makes sense now! If this game has any room for improvement, I would suggest putting that description at the beginning of the game, rather than in a ReadMe folder.

I was so impressed by the story that I decided to play game directly from source code, reading it on my phone! I think it would be more dramatic if you will draw second world with something other than GL_LINE_STRIP. This would emphasize their essential difference and increase tension.

Well, i'm honestly impressed by the backstory, it's a very interesting setting. The game itself though, such as it is, doesn't convey any of it.
