Alone.

In space.

A vessel the size of Wales, floating through the endless night.
You are the keeper of millions of people.

But what might be happening in Sector 24-R?

* Multiple endings & Multiple Choices *

- - - - - -

A Twine game where the basic idea I got was "Huge space ship in space with one lonely person".
Then the idea evolved somewhat, of course.

Photoshop is used for all crude animations and I also produced all images with it.

If you find any spelling errors or grammatical problems don't be afraid to say so.

UPDATE 25/8:

- Tweaked the timing.
- Fixed some typos.
- Added the poster on the Start page.

UPDATE 26/8:

- Fixed some typos spotted by "lightsoda".
- Added a cheat link on the very last page to avoid a bug and providing players the possibility to try other endings.

UPDATE 30/8:

- Added a few graphical elements and remade the animation with the fluorescent lights.
(and at the same time I managed to overwrite my original entry, so the post-compo version is all I got now, but it's much better!)

UPDATE 4/9:

- Spelling errors (thanks to kristoffer zetterberg)

UPDATE 11/9:

- Fixed some issues with the font as some browser didn't load them.

I'm really impressed. Did not expect to get sucked into this storyline the way that I did. Great writing and excellent humour. Would definitely not mind playing an expanded version of this ^^

It remember me my childhood with "the book where you are the hero", a lot of storytelling, long to start but when choice come it give a very nice feeling and you give a lot to the staging, great stuff !

Thou, good sir, are brilliant! I'm not that much into quests, but this one just sucked me into it :)

The only thing you lack is some moody music.

Writing is terrific, graphics are subtle and clean. Humble animations are really adding to the mood, too.
I've only been slightly annoyed by the Makida console keeps popping after the first slug stop.

Wow, I didn't expect to find such a well crafted story! I would play that again! (I assume there are multiple endings)

I like how its not only text, despite being a text game. That makes it easier to get into the game.

I love the amount of polish in this, it's really cool. I was also properly reading the story, where for some of the other twine games I found myself skimming through the passages.
I did hit a bug where I kept being swapped over to the original monitor screen, however this might have been cause by me clicking previous page in the web browser...? (using Firefox)
Regardless, I restarted and got to the end, so it wasn't a big problem.

Shit that was good! Maybe the ending felt a bit disappointing, I steered into the loop, it seems a bit rushed compared to the otherwise very solid writing.. Overall it's been a long time since I read something so entertaining, both funny and a bit scary. Really fucking good work dude! :D

SOME INFO:

So hi everybody.
Thanks for playing my game.
And I'm glad you liked it...

Some of you have spotted a bug (so have I).
And as I've tried to fix it I'm 99% certain that it only occurs when you go "back" with your back button in the browser at the last Console Screen.

So...DON'T DO THAT!

I've added a little cheat link on the very last page instead that you can use to try the other endings, and hopefully that will solve it!

I really looked forward to playing your entry after seeing what you did last LD, and this lived up to all my hopes. I think I preferred it to your last one actually: the initial premise is perhaps less gripping, but the story felt more engrossing, it was equally as well written and funny, and it's quite possibly the most gorgeous-looking twine I've seen. It's a high scorer, for me at least. Really don't know how you managed it in 48 hours -- I'm kind of envious.

I, like the other comments, got absorbed and had to read through the whole thing! I'm a big fan of humor in text-pacing (I'm sure there's a word for that), so this was great! Kudos!

Oh, and thank you for your kind comment on my game as well :)

Love it (as usual). Great mood. I also like the retro font of this futuristic console, and the cameo of Rocky Barbato =D. The graphics were excellent as well and enhanced the mood!

That really sucked me in. Very moody.

I felt the ending was a bit strange, though. Why would i drop 3 compartments and kill 70m people, when not dropping any and just fly through the loop as it is would kill the "bad guys", who are not in their protective tubes, just as well?

I really like these interactive-story submissions though. Good one.

That was super engaging! I love the setting and it had a pleasant pacing. Good humour too. I'll try it again later on and make some different choices.

In my game's comment thread you mentioned some other games using Unity+Twine, do you remember which ones? I'd like to try them :)

Oh man, there's a whole bunch of stuff here I had no idea you could do in Twine! This is really technically impressive.

The spaceventure was super engaging, but upon finding an ending, it seems to boot me to a menu that will take me to other random (and slightly contextless) endings. Hm.

Liked a lot of the aspects of this, especially the animation and several of the technical details. As always you are a proficient technical Twinesman. It got a tiny bit goofy at the end, which I wasn't as huge of a fan of, but I liked it.

"To not being _be_ alone at the same time as you approach, nay stalk, with caution."

minns inte exakt vad det stod men:
"Space-Decibels" - borde det inte vara "Space-disciple" med tanke på kontexten, eller är det något skämt jag inte förstår?

This is nice, it's too bad the clown image isn't original :( http://38.media.tumblr.com/06e507c703e9933695986d784a551df2/tumblr_natrhktUHM1qzknwuo1_1280.png you can't just run a filter over a photo and pretend you drew it during the compo. They might stand for that in Jam land, but we have standards sonny.

Other than that, really solid effort. One of the better LD twines for sure
