GHOST STONE: DEAD MAN WALKING

This is a good game, by us! We're the Rotund Table. That's us! <3
You play an amateur archaeologist who makes a monumental discovery within ruins. You unfortunately do not live long enough to enjoy the fame this would bring you, as you immediately trip and fall down a staircase to your death. However, you become a ghost within these walls, and decide to find your old colleagues so at least someone will be able to get this find out to the public. Thankfully, these ruins contained many different machines which you seem to be able to possess. Perhaps these stones in the walls are keeping you alive...

--------

CONTROLS: WASD to move, spacebar to jump. You can possess golems with a left click, and depossess when within the radius of a crystal with a right click. Different machines have different abilities, generally activated with a left click.

BLUE golems can move boxes.
RED golems can left click to break some walls with a punch.
GREEN golems can move orbs by clicking on them, while in contact with them.
SPHERES can fit into tight spaces, and also jump higher than the other machines.

You can only survive outside of the spheres of life as a ghost for five seconds. If you want to survive much longer than that, you must possess a golem.

You can only leave levels as a ghost for puzzle purposes; however we weren't able to develop the reason for this.

I really like what you did with this. It is a very unique puzzle platformer with great art and great music. The physics are kinda weird and clunky but it didn't harm my gameplay experience. Great job!

Hi, nice game and congratulations ! Simple mechanics that still offered a decent amount of challenge. We're realizing a video with several games of the Ludum Dare #36. We made the same thing at the previous jam.

Can you add your game on indiexpo.net ? (it's free)
So we can include also your game in the video ;)
p.s. write #LDJAM in the game's description.

This really looks like a brilliant game!

I got as far as the (first?) level with all 3 the golems, but I fell through the level somehow while pushing the star block.

Even with that problem, I'd say this is one of the best games I've played this LD! (And I've played a lot of them.)
