Ancient Invasion by Topper
Retro game in which you kill aliens in ancient Greek times... with some interesting technology.
Controls:
- Left/right: move
- Up: jump
- Space: generic action button (incl. shoot)
Changes since deadline:
- proper boss battle - conditions were still left in debug mode... oops
- fixed weird background jumping upon boss start
- provided better screenshot, better embedding, and made the source more obvious (nothing to do with the code, but still involved editing the submission)

I like the level progression...the way each level adds a new gameplay mechanic. Well done~

Ended up dying on level 2 and I'm not feeling really patient right now as I got a bunch to do today and I just woke up, so I decided that it would probably be easier with jacked up rps and 1000 lives, so I took that path. Initially I couldn't figure out how to get past the ZX Prism screen. Some sort of indication to hit space would be nice because at least for me that isn't the first or second thing I think of. I really liked the art and the smoothness of movements. My biggest issue other than the initial screen was the fact that the black text of the NPC was hard to read against the background. Other than that, I liked it quite a bit.

I like it, didn't get very far but the gameplay was fairly strong. Lacking audio but still a great game to play and very relaxing.
