Compass by leffe108
In this game you run orienteering from your desk.
Controls:
- Arrow keys
- M to toggle map
How to play:
- You start at the triangle at the map and you want to take the controls in the order as shown in the map.
Map legend:
* green: dense forest
* white: less dense forest
* yellow: open area (actually has wheat on it in the game)
* black dashed line: path
* black dot: stone
Notes from development:
- I made my own 3D-ish engine using cos/sin and some other math as part of the entry. But by no means is it a perfect 3D engine. But I think it works well with the theme Ancient Technology.
- The game was made according to Compo rules only with the exception that I couldn't start working until Sunday due to taking part in an orienteering competition. :-)
- The game was made in about 10h so it is a bit shallow in number of levels (only one).
- The game is a bit heavy as browser game with some 5k trees with very little optimization.

for these reason, the "perspective" actually make it to follow the map a bit harder than it should be
