Rolling Time by austintradr
Travel through the development of technology, following advancements of the wheel from the stone age to the distant future. The game itself is an endless runner with a new mechanic for dealing with threats... and creating them.
Criticize anything and everything! This is not only our first Ludum Dare, but our first game ever so we are super excited to get feedback!
Thank you for playing!

Lua with Love2d was used for programming, and all art was done in Piskel and Aseprite.

I was able to keep myself alive by holding a tile under the rock/wheel/cyberneonthing, so it wouldn't fall. That didn't make the game any easier, though :P
If possible, please include a save point after a level - the first level is cool, too - but only for a few times ;)
Also, great soundtrack and cool pixel art! Well done!
The music is also nice.
In all seriousness, this is a very creative and well implemented idea, with satifying music and a very nice difficulty curve. The art is very nice as well. All around,a very good game!
This might be a little nit-picky, but I don't honestly think it looks good when sprites are made larger without actually adding detail, like how the meteors are resized to be really large.
All-in-all this is a really fun game.
A couple tiny critisism; have to agree with other commenters that you should restart at the level you died at, not so fun to have to to the first level again and again. The different art styles do clash a bit.
Definitely would be better to let players choose their level or start over at the same level - annoying to play that easy first level over and over!
You should probably prevent the player from grabbing blocks on the far left right before they go offscreen - I figured out I could basically cheat by doing that!
Very difficult, but in a good way - the challenge felt fair and interesting. Great job!
Good hard game :), nice concept!
Would it be better if player can control horizontal movement?
Perhaps you could add right-click for jump for players who want to play in the morning while drinking coffee.
Good game !
Very nice idea! I like the mechanics and the soundtrack! Learning the basic mechanics is quite hard, but after some tries, you get the timing. Playing with a touchpad is quite impossible, but with a hardware mouse it is ok. I think, this could also work nice on mobile devices!
Oh and you get extra points for using lua!
