Robot World Hopper by Beege

[raw]
made by Beege for LD30 (JAM)
Just a little physics game I put together over a spare few hours I've had over the weekend.

You play a robot and your objective is to get to the portal that leads to the next world.

The game contains three levels and can be beat in a few minutes, enjoy.

Nice game. There are other gravity games like this, but I like how yours is zoomed in so you can't see everything at once.

Was a little short but understandable considering the short dev time.

Gotta love a game about orbital mechanics! Orbital platforming where you get orbit by horizontal velocity rather than jumping (aka the correct way) is a great concept I'd definitely like to see more of!

I happened to notice that running in one direction and switching will launch the player character into the air, about as effectively as the rocket boots. Intentional?

I liked it, specially the music and mood of it. It reminded me a bit of Mario Galaxy. Nice job :)

@Clyde Hey thanks for the feedback. You're right that running in one direction and switching launches the character into the air, which contradicts the mechanics. This is something I'll fix if I develop the game further. :-)
